After crossing the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass, you arrive to the iconic Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO site known for its remarkable architecture and Hollywood film productions. The journey continues to Ouarzazate, the gateway to the Sahara, and then to Agdz, a peaceful oasis town at the entrance of the Draa Valley. Dinner and overnight in a charming riad surrounded by palm groves.

Day 2: Agdz – Draa Valley – Zagora

After breakfast, travel through the heart of the Draa Valley, one of the world’s largest palm oases stretching over 200 km. You’ll explore ancient ksours, traditional villages, and lush palm groves before reaching Zagora, a historical caravan town once connected to Timbuktu. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the oasis or wander the local souks. Dinner and overnight in Zagora.

Day 3: Zagora – Tamegroute – M’hamid (First Night in the Sahara)

Today you travel further south toward the Sahara. Stop in Tamegroute, famous for its ancient Quranic library, green pottery workshops, and underground kasbah. By midday, arrive in M’hamid, the last village before the desert begins. Enjoy a sunset camel ride among the small dunes and settle into your desert camp where dinner, Berber music, and a star-filled sky await. Overnight in M’hamid desert camp.

Day 4: M’hamid – Off-Road Desert Track – Chegaga Dunes

After breakfast, the real adventure begins. You leave the paved road and travel off-road for 2–3 hours into the wild Sahara. The route crosses stony desert, dry riverbeds, dunes, tamarisk forests, and ancient caravan tracks. By midday, reach the majestic Erg Chegaga, a vast dune region rising up to 300 meters high. After mint tea at the camp, enjoy time to relax before embarking on a mesmerizing sunset camel trek. Evening includes dinner, bonfire music, and overnight under the desert sky in Chegaga.
