You then continue to the Cedar Forest of Azrou, where you can see the famous Barbary macaques and enjoy beautiful woodland scenery. The road passes through Berber villages and fertile valleys until reaching Midelt, a town surrounded by apple orchards and mountains. After lunch, you drive through the dramatic landscapes of the Ziz Valley, one of the largest palm oases in Morocco. In the afternoon you arrive at Merzouga, gateway to the Erg Chebbi dunes. The tour continues to the black desert of volcanic stones and to the tents of Berber nomads, where you learn about their lifestyle and traditions. You then visit Rissani, an ancient trading town famous for its traditional market and historical ksars. After lunch, you drive through vast desert landscapes, palm groves, and small Berber villages before reaching the Todra Gorges, a spectacular canyon with 300-meter-high cliffs.
